Eco Casting Resin - What pigments can you use?

How do you colour Eco Resin?

We are often asked the question - What are the best pigments to use to achieve vibrant, long lasting colour in Eco Pour creations? Well we have the perfect solution, so lets find out more...

Firstly why is colouring eco resins sometimes tricky?

Eco Pour is a pure white casting powder once cured (some other eco resins are an off white which can sometimes make this process even trickier)

As Eco Pour is not clear like epoxy resin, it can take a very vibrant pigment to counteract the white and create strong colours. Also, some pigments would require huge quantities in the mixture to have any powerful colour effects.

We have a new range of eco resin pigments that have been designed to perform the very best in Eco Pour. With ingredients formulated to not only give the most vivid colour results, but to stand the test of time with unique anti fade technology.

Eco Pour pigments bring a sustainable and vibrant touch to your eco resin creations with just a few drops!

Eco Pour Pigment
  • 30g pigment quantity in a recyclable jar plus bio packaging
  • The pigments are crafted to deliver not only stunning visuals but also exceptional durability, ensuring that your coloured eco pour makes stand the test of time, whilst also maintaining their brilliance.
  • With easy-to-use jars, eco pigments allow for precise colour control, giving you the freedom to experiment and create bespoke finishes. From subtle accents to bold statements, the possibilities are as endless as your imagination.
  • Add 2-5% pigment to your final mix for a beautiful striking colour. Remember adding more pigment will jeopardise the ratio of your mix and may cause a little colour to rub off on your fingers when 'rubbed. To avoid this seal your creations after a few hours of de-moulding.
  • Always allow your piece to cure thoroughly before adding additional products to the surface.
  • As with all Oxide pigments, moulds and pots may stain. Bloom Eco pigments are water-based, therefore moulds can be wiped or washed gently ready to use again.
  • Bloom Eco pigments have excellent UV stability; they will not fade or alter under UV light - even if they have not been sealed with a protectant.
